Top Cartoon Beers

The fictional world, particularly cartoons, are meant to mock the society we live in today. That mockery even delves into the beer world, as some of the greatest cartoons of our time have taken numerous (hilarious) jabs at beer.

Futurama:

LöBrau:

The show takes place in the year 3000 and this particular brand of beer has lasted 1000 years, just as long as the main character, Fry. Coincidentally the beer is most often drank by the dimwitted Fry, as the beer name “LöBrau” is a play on words for low brow.

Benderbrau

The beer is brewed by the characters Bender, Fry and Leela inside of Bender (he’s a robot). As the beer goes through the process of brewing, Bender takes on the persona of a pregnant woman and exclaims that he will name the beer “BenderBrau” if it is an “ale”. Eventually the brew process finishes, which results in a batch of “ale” at “5 gallons and 6 ounces”.

Futurama also satirized some of today’s most famous brands:

Old Fortran

Today’s beer: Olde English; “Fortran” is one of the first computer languages. This beer is drank by Bender on the show.

Pabst Blue Robot

Today’s Beer: Pabst Blue Ribbon

St. Pauli Exclusion Principle Girl

Sam Adams’ Head Boston Lager

The Simspons:

Duff Beer

The most popular brand of beer in the Springfield and possibly on this list; Duff Beer is synonymous with the Simpsons and is one of its trademarks.  Numerous episodes throughout the series involves this particular brand, and is sometimes one of the major plot points. Duff Beer also comes with one of the great Simpson characters, Duffman, who yelps “Oh Yeah” with everyone of his commercial catch phrases…..he also does ALOT of pelvic thrusting.

Fudd Beer

Fudd Beer is the direct competitor to Duff beer, and has no problem of backing handing the competition with their blatantly similar name. This particular beer is drank most frequently by the inhabitants of “Shelbyville”, the neighboring town of Springfield. Moe Szyslak, Springfields most famous barkeep, thought that Fudd Beer was actually banned “after all those hillbillies went blind”.

Red Tick Beer

Homer Simpson felt adventurous one episode, and wanted something other than Duff beer, and indulged in some Red Tick Beer. The beer is actually created from a vat of beer that is being swam in by dogs; where one of the brewer claims that the beer “needs more dog”.

Family Guy:

Pawtucket Patriot Ale

The main character, Peter Griffin, eventually works for the brewery that brews this ale, located in Quahog, Rhode Island. The motto for the beer: “If you buy it, hot women will have sex in your back yard” is definitely the catchiest on this list.

King of the Hill:

Alamo Beer:

Alamo Beer, is the beer of choice for Hank Hill and his cronies and it is the ONLY beer they will drink. The name is a direct reference to the alamo mission, and there is an actual brewing company with a beer brand named “ALAMO” but is in no way affiliated.
