Rock & Roll Songs about Beer

The Doors – Roadhouse Blues

This song is all about having fun, whether it be for a night or life, because “The future’s uncertain, and the end is always near. Next time you are at a bar or party and this song comes on see how loose people get and enjoy.

Sublime – 40oz to freedom

Sublime was listened to often throughout High School, and brings back memories of parties in which we had plenty of…..soda. Any who, this song is about the lead singer Bradley Nowell drowning his sorrows by downing a 40.

George Thorogood – One Bourbon One Scotch One Beer

John Lee Hooker made this song originally famous, but I like this version much better. The simplicity of the song makes it a favorite for your local tavern bar fly’s to proudly singalong with when  it’s played.

Beck – Beercan

Forget everything that is currently happening in your life, relax and go and enjoy some beers. Worry about everything else later……I think that’s what Beck is trying to say.

Reel Big Fish – Beer

Even after a tough breakup, your ex is haunting you and making life a living hell. The only solution is beer.

The Replacements – Beer for breakfast

There seems to be a continuous message among all of the songs on the list, do what you want and enjoy it while it lasts! Additionally, I feel like this song should be part of some montage in a Wes Anderson movie.

ZZ Top – Beer Drinkers & Hell Raisers

George Thorogood might be the king of creating a lot of songs about drinking, but ZZ top has to be second. Their songs contain the following topics: beer, cars, motorcycles, beer, chicks, chicks, cars, beer, chicks, guitars and one about a “tube snake”…..you can figure that one out.
